I have a huge interest in learning how to draw. My first task will be to look for tutorials online on how to draw Donald Duck, is my son's (3 year-old) favorite Disney character. My son's birthday is in November, hopefully I can have the drawing done by then. Once I have gained more practice, I would like to make comic strips with my 12 year-old. He enjoys comics. Drawing can be my way of spending time with my boys. I will need to schedule time for this new hobby.
If you have any tips on where to look for tutorials, let me know. Which me luck :)
I love that drawing will be a way for you to spend time with your kids! Here's an interesting starting point for the duck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ngCQIIpsk

Have fun!
Thanks. The video was a gave me a great start.
DeleteI love the idea of you learning to draw in order to become closer to both of your boys, despite their age difference! Here's a cool site for learning how to draw Donald Duck: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/06/video-tutorial-learn-to-draw-donald-duck/ and here's one about learning to draw comics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfPD91eVsUo. I hope that helps! Oh by the way, Stan Lee ha couple of books on drawing superheroes and comics on Amazon that might be helpful! Have fun!
DeleteYou have my vote! I cannot draw worth a DAMN! Stick figures are challenging for me so I feel you. Michaels offers some nice books on beginning drawing techniques.
